WHY WE RECYCLE?
WASTE PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS
Pakistan produces an enormous amount of waste daily, estimated at 50 million Tons per annum, and a lot of this waste ends up dumped along roads, in empty plots, and in rivers and ravines. This not only creates an eye sore but also negatively effects human health as these piles of garbage breed vector borne diseases along with producing cancer causing chemicals, alongside serious breathing difficulties during smog season, when burnt.

SAFE AND HEALTHY PRODUCTS.
Resource recovery through recycling is an amazing way of limiting the amount of waste going to landfill and reducing our import bill, by billions of dollars, through import substitution. Alongside reducing the pressure on our landfills, import bill, and natural resources; recycling can also simultaneously provide jobs to millions of people, clean up our environment, and reduce our healthcare expenditures.
This fifteen percent in weight of recycling corresponds to fifty percent in volume and if removed and recycled, would result in saving on transportation of this waste to landfills. This fifty percent reduction in volume will save millions of liters of fuel.
